we don't think you'll guess...!

Members of the Parish Council undertook one of our regular litter picks on Sunday the 10th of April. We collected a substantial amount of waste. There were mattresses, tyres, car headlamp bulbs, carpet, glass worktop savers, along with the usual bottles and food wrappers. Many of these items were adjacent to the canal near the parking area where they could prove hazardous to local wildlife. Disappointingly many food wrappers were found within a few hundred yards of the bin.

“We had another very successful haul. As ever there is always potential to do more, so we'd actively encourage residents to come and join us for our next litter pick date later in the year”(Peter Winter Chair Preston Patrick PC)

And the most unusual item we found... a car numberplate!
